Visit the New Jersey DEP Radon section for more information
Radon is a radioactive gas from the breakdown of naturally occurring uranium in soil and rock. Radon is invisible, odorless, and tasteless and can only be detected by specialized tests. Radon enters homes through openings in contact with the ground, such as cracks in the foundation, small openings around pipes, and sump pits. Radon and its decay products release radioactive energy that can cause lung cancer.
We recommend you test for Radon regardless of the risk levels for your area, as Radon exposure can happen due to many factors. Testing should be done to provide peace of mind whether you are purchasing a new property or currently living in one that was never tested.
Our licensed Radon Measurement Technicians are qualified to assist you to test, evaluate and determine if you are at risk for radon gas exposure at your property. Contact us to make an appointment for testing.
